Can you give me your thoughts on the video?

  1. The most interesting thing I found in this article was that when the United States transferred a detainee from a American prison to Afghan prison, that detaintee had been beaten and shocked with electrical cables by his inmates. Also Americans continue to carry acts of torture in prisons even when it was suspended by NATO. The NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. I find it insane how this is actually happening now, it makes me look at the war from the different view. Last time i checked Americans are supposed to be helping out the Afghanistan not killing them and violating their human rights.

Well said. Why do you think these interrogation tactics are still be employed?

Human rights (basic human rights or natural rights) refers to “people, the man should enjoy the right”.

Ok, who decides what those rights should be? Are some rights more important than others? What if we need to take away one person’s right in order to protect the rights of the group? (remember the video we watched in class where if LA got bombed than the entire country will be on lock-down to prevent another nuclear bombing). what happens to our rights then?

We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.

Who determines what “freedom” and “equality” should be? If the government needed to protect us from a nuclear attack by another country and then denied us our “rights” to protect us, is this denial of rights justified?

i think Freedom and equality ,It is our common protection.

I agree that freedom is, regardless of nationality.
